The Exhibition
My Name is julian Bond.
I have always believed that real change happens when people empower one
another. As a student at Morehouse College in Atlanta, GA, I co-founded the
Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee in 1960, organizing young
activists committed to justice. I also helped establish the Southern Poverty
Law Center, served in the Georgia state legislature for two decades, and led
the NAACP. Whether in the classroom, the courtroom, or the streets, I fought
for civil rights because progress is only possible when we stand together.
My life’s work was never about me: it was about the power of people
uniting to make change.
