PROGRAM CHECKLIST
This check list is to act as a guide to build your Civic Season program with your
team by stages. Note that not all programs fit this checklist, some may need fewer
or more steps and each program is unique to its site, team, and environment!
This check list is a specific guide to build the Slice of History: Pizza and Trivia event
created by Tampa Bay History Center.
To successfully host this event, follow these steps:
3 months out: Confirm date and ensure there is no other events
in the area that may interfere with parking or logistics
1 month out: Begin marketing:
Work with facilities team to go over set up for the event
Recruit staff volunteers to assist with the day of program
Create trivia questions
Work with partners to confirm donations and logistics
One week out: Purchase any necessary supplies
Send information to volunteers and staff about what to
expect
Day of: Set up and execution
Day after: Send survey to guests and write a
ginal report to go over the event while it is fresh
in your mind
