Meet Your Guide
Jane Addams
Hello there, I am Jane Addams. My journey began in 1860 in the small town of
Cedarville, Illinois, where I was born into a family that instilled in me a strong
sense of civic duty and compassion for others. My passion for social change
led me to found Hull House in Chicago, a settlement house that became a
beacon of hope for immigrants and city residents. Through Hull House, I
worked tirelessly to improve living conditions, advocate for women’s rights,
and promote peace. My life's work was dedicated to building a more just and
equitable society, inspired by the belief that we can all work together to
create a better world for future generations.
